LEONARDO DA VINCI the EU - program for vocational further education is named after the famous Italian genius of the renaissance.
A partnership means cooperation between educational institutions from at least three different European countries working on a common topic of interest. The main aspect behind is to exchange practical and theoretical experiences. The approaches of the partnership are to be spread and should furthermore being useful in daily work - life.
The program and its aims
The program supports and complements to vocational policies in the contributing states. The European Union will provide up to 1.725 m € until 2013 to the program.
In this way it adds to achieve international competence for European citizens and at the same time it contributes to innovation and improvement of vocational educational systems by approving European pilot experiments.
Work-meetings, exchange between teachers and apprentices and their employers, designing project-based materials, handouts, teaching and learning materials and documentations are activities that result from this partnership. Partnerships have to show a clear connection to a job and integrate partners from the field of work.
